What’s Included
-
Live virtual class | October 17 | 9:30–10:30 AM
The first weeks with a newborn come with A LOT of questions.
We'll talk through some of the common things you may find yourself wondering about once your baby arrives — what's normal, what deserves a closer look, and when it's time to reach out for support.
You'll leave with a better understanding of newborn feeding behaviors and a clearer idea of when something is within the normal realm or when it may be worth getting help.
-
Live virtual class | October 24 | 9:30–11:00 AM
Let's talk about what you actually need to know before your baby arrives.
Topics include:
Understanding normal newborn behavior
How milk supply works
How to tell if your baby is getting enough milk
Ways to achieve a good latch
Common breastfeeding concerns
Bottle feeding tips
And much more!
This isn't about knowing everything before baby arrives. It's about understanding the basics so you aren't starting from scratch when you're tired, recovering, and learning your brand-new baby.
-
On-demand
You'll also receive access to my practical latching class.
This class teaches the essential positioning and latch skills needed for more comfortable, effective feeding. Learn practical techniques to improve milk transfer, reduce any discomfort, and confidently troubleshoot common latch challenges.
But you don't need to watch it right away!
I'll encourage you to save this one for approximately 2-4 weeks before your due date, so the information is fresh in your mind when your baby is here.
Why I created The Confident Start
Every breastfeeding journey is different. I know that because all of mine have been.
With my first, I remember how much I would have benefited from simple, accurate education from an IBCLC before my baby arrived. Not a million things to memorize — just a better understanding of what breastfeeding can actually look like, how to navigate some of the common challenges, and how to recognize when something wasn’t going quite right and it was time to ask for help.
That experience has shaped the way I support families today, and it’s why I created The Confident Start. My goal isn’t to make you feel like you need to have breastfeeding figured out before your baby arrives. It’s to give you the kind of information I wish I had from the beginning — so you can enter those first days with a little more understanding, a little more confidence, and a better idea of when to reach out for support.
